Africa for One

Author(s): Marion Rego

NZ Biography

The ‘winds of change’ were blowing across Africa when a young New Zealand schoolteacher set off for what was to become a very different, exciting and ultimately life-changing three and a half years in the early 1960’s.

This is not a travel book, nor a political commentary, though both travel and politics are found in its pages. This is simply the narrative of one person, a person with a liberal outlook on life, an unprejudiced point of view, and a willingness to experience and enjoy all that life had to offer.

It will capture the readers’ imaginations, enlarge their knowledge, and engage their minds, and perhaps encourage them to look again at their fellow human beings and see them as just that.
